Saying Goodbye

My dear friend and former roommate, Jennifer Smith Walters, passed away yesterday. She courageously fought brain cancer for more than 3 years. Although the battle is over and she is gone for now, she will never be forgotten.

I will always remember the years we spent at Utah State: the late night talks and laughs, playing Skip-bo, eating at Old Grist Mill then rushing home to watch Friends, working together at the Carousel, Colors concerts, dances, guys, and so much more.

Jen was the glue that held our friends together. She genuinely cared about all and kept in close contact with her friends. She was the one to rally us together, plan lunch dates, and hold BBQs at her house.

Words can't express how much she'll be missed. Our love and sympathies go to Jen's husband Ryan, her son Noah, and her family. I'm so grateful for the knowledge that she is in a better place, and that her body is free from the illness that plagued her for so long. I know that we will see each other again. Until we meet again...

She really was the glue...I hope that we still get together regularly...even if it is just to talk about Jen!
