Draper Days!

And the month of festivities continues. This week...Draper Days! Draper Days is always fun, but I don't think you appreciate the impact it has unless you've lived in Draper your whole life-- like Brent's family. Draper Days is a big deal!!! I'm glad I get to be a part of it.

We started the morning early with the Draper parade. We used to go as kids all the time, so it's fun to take my kid(s) there now! Kirstie loved sitting in her little chair and waving to everyone as they passed by.

A big thanks to those who passed out the otter pops!! The perfect treat on a hot morning!

Someone gave Kirstie a pom-pom. It was her favorite thing about the parade!

Here's Kirstie and Payton dancing to the music-- with the pom pom, of course.

We got so much candy- it was like an early Halloween. Brent was right there in the streets with all the kids picking up candy. Kirstie thought it was great when people threw the candy. She would laugh with delight. But she wasn't very fast about picking it up, so dad had to help her out!
Afterwards we went back to the Buchanans house for lunch and swimming. Kirstie is still unsure about swimming in "big" pools, but when she finally warmed up to it, she loved it!!

Kirstie and Brent cooling off in the pool.

We went back home and took naps and had dinner before heading over to the park for fireworks. They didn't start them until 10:30, so we had a while to wait!

Kirstie had a ball playing with the glowsticks from grandma and grandpa and dancing to the music.
