Christmas Festivities!

The Christmas season has been full of fun activities so far. I love having a little 2 year old who enjoys all this and is excited about everything.

We went to the Festival of Trees the other week. I love it! My favorite part is the gingerbread houses. However, it was so crowded that we couldn't even get close to them. But they looked great from a distance. This was Kirstie's favorite tree: it was covered with Elmo dolls and was surrounded by Sesame Street dolls, books, movies--anything you could think of!

Our ward Christmas party is always a lot of fun. Kirstie was terrified of Santa. From the moment he walked in the room, she was covering her eyes and hiding from him (and we were all the way across the cultural hall). She kept crying to go home. We sat Ian on his lap. Kirstie was scared for him. She kept crying for Ian and daddy to come back while they waited in line. I'm not sure what she thought Santa was going to do to Ian.

We were able to get this close to Santa. As long as she didn't have to look at him, I guess she was ok.

We keep telling her that Santa is going to come to our house on Christmas Eve while she sleeps and leave her presents. She is even scared of that and says she doesn't want any presents!
