We went downtown to see the lights at Temple Square the weekend after Christmas this year. It didn't seem as crowded as years past- maybe because it was COLD-- or maybe because it was after Christmas, who knows? Either way, it was fun to take the kids down.
Ian was not happy being left in the stroller. However, I don't trust him to get out of it when we're in crowds. He runs away too fast!
So we compromised and got him out for pictures, but then it was right back in the stroller for him.
You'll notice a pattern with Kirstie's poses.
This is a great little picture taking spot. You still get the temple and the lights in the background, but don't have to wait in line to take your family's picture on that little pedastol. Yes, there was actually a line of people-- quite a long line in fact-- of people waiting to get their picture taken in that "perfect" spot.
Of course, the nativity was the kids' favorite!
I love these lights along the south side of the Assembly Hall. Too bad we didn't know there was a family sing-along going on in Assembly Hall that night. It would've been a great way to warm up a bit!
Of course, we had to go to the top of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and look down at Temple Square!
