Going Out of Town

My kids are hilarious!  I love to listen to them play together, and I'm so grateful that they get along so well.  Today they played that they were going out of town.  It's so cute to hear Ian say that he's going out of town.  "I going out of town, mama!"  They loaded up a little wagon with sippy cups and a camera and pulled it around the living room.  They'd stop in different areas and take turns posing for pictures.  They pulled their pillows and blankets off their beds and made the couches their beds at the hotel.

Of course, they eventually ended up at Disneyland.  It is an everyday occurrence to talk about, ask to go to, or pretend to be at Disneyland.  (I'm sure their aunt Melissa is so proud!)  It was time for Kirstie to get ready for preschool and eat lunch, but there was no way she was going to give up her "vacation" so I played along and told her that it was time to have lunch at Disneyland.  The kids ran to the table and ate their Disneyland sandwich and drank their Disneyland water.  They ate lunch better than they ever have.

On one hand, all this makes me really, really, really want to go back to Disneyland.  On the other hand, it's so much cheaper to set up chairs in our living room and pretend we're on Splash Mountain!

Caden just asked me the other day 'why don't we go to Disneyland' anymore. I wish it wasn't so expensive! :)
