The kids have been begging to have a backyard campout for months. The other week they filled up their "happy jar" once again, so we decided that would be their reward. Ian had never slept in the tent before, so he was especially excited! We had a bbq for dinner then roasted marshmallows/smores for dessert. Then, it was off to bed! Unfortunately, there wasn't room for all of us in the tent. I graciously backed out and allowed Brent to sleep outside with the kids while I slept inside. By myself. Alone in the silence.
