Today was the first snowstorm of the season. And it snowed and snowed and snowed!
I took Kirstie to school, came home and shoveled the driveway. In fact, I shoveled our neighbor's sidewalks as well. He always does ours with his snowblower,so I thought I'd do something nice for him. Well, it was a nice thought, but by later that afternoon you couldn't even tell I'd shoveled anything at all! So, out we went again. This time Brent was home from work so I let him shovel while the kids and I played! The kids love playing in the snow, but it just takes SO LONG to get the dressed to go outside. And we discovered that Kirstie's boots are a size too small, Ian's are a size too big. We have snowpants in sizes 1, 3, and 7. (I squeezed Kirstie into one of the size 3s). Kirstie is missing a glove, my glove has a hole in the fingertip, and Brent's boot has major holes. Oh well. We had fun nonetheless. But I think we'll be doing some winter clothes shopping in the near future.
Part of Kirstie's homework this month is to make a snow angel and a snowman. Well, we got one accomplished today. The snow was too fluffy for a snowman. Ian made a dozen snow angels. He also loved diving into the snow and faceplanting it. He's such a crazy boy.

My kids wanted to go out in the snow that day but I realized they both needed new boots :( Snow is so much fun (if you don't have to drive in it).
