Frozen

I think that our two kids were the only ones on the planet who had not seen Frozen.  And not because they didn't want to or because they didn't ask us ALL THE TIME!  We just didn't want to spend all that money on taking our family to the movie.  We decided to wait until it came to the dollar theater.  Well we waited and waited and waited.  Then Frozen was released on dvd.  Now our kids were the only two kids who not only hadn't seen the movie, but didn't own it either.  (But don't worry, they had seen enough trailers and snipets of the movie to sing the songs and quote a few parts.)

The other day I was on facebook and I saw that a theater in Holladay was going to have the characters from Frozen there to take pictures and greet the kids.  It wasn't a dollar theater, but it wasn't the expensive theaters either.  And our kids had just filled up their token jar again, so we were looking for some way to reward them.  We decided we were tired of waiting for it to come to the dollar theater. We would fork out the 3.50 for each ticket and take them to see it finally.  Needless the say, the kids were ecstatic.

They were a little hesitant to meet Anna and Kristoff (Elsa was caught in a "snow storm" so she didn't get there until after our movie started), but it was a lot of fun still!  I kept trying to tell them it was just like Disneyland, but cheaper and a shorter wait!

So, this little theater is my new favorite one.  It's called the Water Garden theaters.  They have cheap tickets, cheap snacks, and reserved seating.  The staff was super-friendly.  They don't show R-rated films and they are closed on Sundays.  Businesses like this deserve my support!
