New bedroom!

In getting ready for the baby to come in January, we decided to move Kirstie and Ian down to the basement.  We have two extra bedrooms down there-- both were being used for storage of this and that.  They were also both the only rooms that hadn't been painted since moving in 9 years ago.  We decided that if we were to paint one, we should paint both.  So...we emptied both rooms of everything and loaded it all in our family room.  Yep, we have lots of junk!

Here's the after pictures of the kids' room.  New dresser with mirror for Kirstie.  New bunkbeds for the kids.  I think it all turned out really cute!

They were THRILLED with the new bunk beds!  Their plan is to switch where they sleep when summer comes.  We'll see.  Ian of course has found all sorts of different ways to climb up to Kirstie's bed.

The first night sleeping there was a LONG night-- they just couldn't settle down to go to sleep.  And the second night they kept waking up during the middle of the night.  They're much better at sleeping down there now, but they still hate going down to the basement by themselves.  Hopefully they'll get over that fear quickly!
