Growing Up!

Kirstie is now 15 months old! Oh how time flies! She's still a little squirt, weighing just over 21 pounds and is 29 3/4 inches long, which is just under the 30th percentile. Her head is a different story, measuring in the 90th percentile. It's just cuz she's so smart and needs room for the big brain of hers!
She is the sweestest little girl who makes us laugh every day. She's still very shy around people, yet she is stubborn and does things on her own time and schedule. You can't rush (or bribe) her into anything. She started walking just last week, though we knew she was capable a long time ago. She just wasn't ready yet! We love our Kirstie-girl!
I was only going to put a few pictures on here, but they are all so darn cute.

15 months old!!
I think she's looks like I did when I was her age.

Look at those big, beautiful blue eyes!
She still LOVES books. She pretends to read them, "talking" as she looks at each page.

She loves to lie on the floor, facedown. She does it all the time- anywhere she is.

She is obsessed with having things around her neck. She loves it! She will find anything and drape it over her shoulders. Maybe I should've found a Halloween costume with a cape!

Her "cape" and her baby doll. Two "must-haves."

This is a blanket I started crocheting once upon a time. She found it buried deep in one of my drawers, and of course had to have it around her shoulders.

Even pajamas will do.

This is her new favorite place to be- under the kitchen table against the wall. She will sit here forever and play. It's also a great place to play Peek-a-Boo.

This teddy bear is another constant in her life. She can't get enough of it.

Kirstie loves my parents' cat, Sage. I don't think that Sage feels the same way, however. When Kirstie wants to give "loves" she puts her forehead against you, like she's doing here with Sage. Today she and I were looking at a book with pictures of Jesus in it. I pointed out one of the pictures and she put her forehead to the book to give Jesus loves. Is that the sweetest thing, or what?

She's definitely a girly-girl. She loves to carry around my scripture case like a purse.

She loves other little kids-- espcecially her friend Elise. They get so excited to see each other!
Kirstie starts freaking out when we pull into their driveway because she's so excited to be at Elise's house!

TOOO cute! I love her sense of fashion at this young age. She knows that scarves are IN right now...she just can't go shopping for the perfect one for each outfit so she gets creative, right!?
