While Daddy's Away, His Girls Will Play

Brent had to go back up to Washington last week for work. We hate when he is gone, but decided to make the best of it. Kirstie and I had a lot of fun going to the zoo, the aquarium, storytime at the library, and out to lunch at Sweet Tomatoes. It's nice to have good friends to do these things with (Thanks Kim, Elise, and Caden!) Despite all the fun, we were very happy that Brent's trip got cut short and that he was only gone 4 days.

Here's some pictures of our adventures:

Kirstie and I got to ride the snow leopard on the carousel at the zoo. Kirstie was really mad when I put her on it, but liked it once it started going.

I love the new exhibits for the big cats. Look how close we are to the tiger! The baby tigers were hiding while they took a nap, so we didn't really get a good look at them.
Everyone has to have a picture of the cute baby elephant! So adorable!

Our first trip to the Living Planet Aquarium. We just bought passes there. Kirstie was more interested in sitting in her stroller and eating cheerios than looking at most of the things. This was one of the few good pictures we got where she was acutally happy.

Way cool stuff there.

We were there for storytime. I feel so sorry for the employee who has to dress up in the starfish costume and read stories to the kids. It didn't look very comfortable!

How fun! We are getting passes to the aquarium this next year once our Zoo passes expire. We'll have to go together sometime!
