Sigh. Here's what Ian learned to do today:
Yep, that's him in the kitchen sink. Once again he was able to pull down a kitchen chair (which I thought I'd securely trapped between the table and wall), push it over to the sink and climb on up and in.
So then I put the kitchen chairs in the living room, thinking that he couldn't push them around on the carpet. However, he is a very determined little boy. After 5 minutes of crying and whining he managed to push the chair back into the kitchen and back over to the sink.
He thought the little hose sprayer thing was hilarious.

The next time he got up (yes, there was a next time because I just can't keep my eye on him every second of the day!), he decided that sitting in the sink would be much more comfortable, despite the dirty dishes.

By dinnertime, this is what our kitchen looked like-- no chairs out at all. There isn't a good place to put all of them, so one was in the far corner of the living room, one in our bedroom, and one in the kids' room- with the doors closed. So until I find a better solution, I guess we'll just play musical chairs, trying our best to keep his feet on the ground-- literally.
