M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!

Last fall, my parents and sister went to Disneyland. Ever since, Kirstie has been asking to go. Thanks to some fortunate circumstances at Brent's work, WE'RE GOING TO DISNEYLAND in May! Last weekend we shared the exciting news with the kids. I hid Mickey silhouettes around the house. They found them and on the back was the good news. We read the message to Kirstie and asked her, "Do you want to go to Disneyland?" She very casually replied, "Yeah. Let's play this game again!" She was more excited about the scavenger hunt than going on the trip!

(Notice Ian's cute grin in this picture. "Cheese!")

I made a countdown chain for the kids. On each link I wrote down a ride or something fun that we'll get to do in Disneyland. It didn't take long for her excitement to build. Now, it's all she can talk about! Multiple times each day she'll point to the end of the chain and say, "When we get to that one, we'll change our calendars to May and go to Disneyland!" One of her new favorite pasttimes is watching Disneyland videos on YouTube. Ian doesn't understand it all, of course, but he loves to get excited right along with Kirstie, dancing around and screaming. We can't wait for May to come!
