Ian is such a busy little boy. He definitely keeps me on my toes. He's such the opposite of Kirstie. He is so much more active and braver than she ever was. He also is fine to play by himself in a room, where she still doesn't like to do that. But he loves to do whatever she is doing and they play so well together (unless we're at church. Then they just fight.) I love to hear them talk to each other in the car. She'll ask a question and he'll respond "Yea!" each time. Sometimes he'll just babble and she'll repeat the babble back to him in her next question.
Here are some of the latest things that Ian's been up to:
He loves to play the piano -either our real piano or this toy one. He always has to have music out. This time he got the Primary CD booklet to use. He reminds me of Schroeder from Peanuts in this picture.
Ian loves to read, and he REALLY loves books. So imagine his joy when we found this book at the library "I Love Trucks." During lunch I like to read a magazine or the mail or something. My kids have picked up on that and each insist on having books at the table with them while they eat.
Ian sure loves his daddy. When Brent is home he wants him to do everything for him-- buckle him in the car, get him out of his high chair, brush his teeth, change his poopy diapers (darn it!). And when it comes time to mow the lawn, Ian is Brent's little shadow. He has to wear a hat like daddy and push around his little mower like daddy. Can these two be any more alike?
Lastly, Ian is always happiest when he's up on something-- anything. As long as his feet are off the ground, life is good. He especially loves to be on tables-- kitchen table, coffee table, changing table, or their little picnic table outside.
He also LOVES to jump. It all started in June when we taught him to jump into the pool. He even tries jumping down the stairs-- scares me to death.
And his other love-- water. He especially loves when there is water in this table so that he can stand, jump, and sit in the water.

That kid cracks me up! :)
What a funny boy. Enjoy the happiness of playing together now. I miss it. Now my kids just fight. I'm finding myself pulling over to the side of the road and waiting till they realize I'm waiting for them to stop fighting so I can drive again. Sigh. I love Ian's spiritedness...if that's even a word! What a fun kid!
