Kirstie's Halloween Program

Kirstie's preschool class had a Halloween party and program the day before Halloween.  Kirstie had been looking forward to this all month long.  It was almost all she could talk about. She practiced her songs and her joke at home constantly.  We were very excited when the big day came and we could see all her hard work and excitement pay off!!

Her teacher, Mrs. King, is amazing in so many ways!  She had everything little detail thought of, including reserving one chair for a child's parent right in front of them so we could get pictures and video.  That was nice not to have to worry about "fighting" other parents for a good seat!

This is her preschool class.  The little girl in blue on the end is Alivia.  She and Kirstie have become best friends.  They're always holding hands as they walk out after preschool.  Mrs. King says they love to share and do everything together.  I'm so glad she's found a good friend!  They're excited to have a playdate sometime.

Each kid told a joke at the program.  This was Kirstie's:
Mrs King: Kirstie, what do skeletons eat for dinner?
Kirstie: Spare ribs!
She worked really hard on saying it loudly, clearly, and slowly and she did a great job!

She colored this princess mask for one of the songs toward the beginning of the month.  She was so excited about it.  She colored her lips green-- it was her lip gloss.  She talked about it all the time and kept telling me how excited I was to see her princess.  She's right.  I was very excited.

After their jokes the class sang a bunch of Halloween songs.

Then they did a skit.  Kirstie was a cat.  In the story the cat gets scared and is supposed to screech.  Her screech was this cute, little "mew!"  It was adorable.

Kirstie loves Mrs. King and is thriving in her class.  She has little readers that she brings home.  She loves learning to read and I'm so proud of how well she's catching on to it!  She loves her homework and all the fun things they do every day!
