Yo ho mateys! Today Kirstie had her final preschool pirate program. She's been practicing her lines all month long and goes around the house singing her pirate songs all the time. This morning she was riding her new bike (pics to come) down the sidewalk singing pirate songs. It was so cute!
Mrs. King has been such a wonderful teacher for Kirstie. She's made great friends and has learned so much! I'm so proud of her. She's an amazing reader. She has finished ALL 3 sets of books that her teacher sends home, which means she's on about a 1st grade reading level all ready. She loves to write stories with me-- we take turns writing. She writes all the words she knows and I write the rest. She's constantly writing stories or making cards for people. All around our house, you'll find scribblings of letters or words on random papers everywhere.
Each kid told a joke at the beginning of the program. Her joke was:
What do you call it when a pirate skips school?
Captain Hooky!
Kirstie had 2 more lines and a poem. She said them so clearly and slowly!
I love this little grin!
This is Kirstie and her friend Alivia.
