We've been needing to move Ian out of his crib and into a big boy bed for awhile now. After all, he's been climbing out of his crib for...well, for a long time. We just weren't sure how to arrange their room and fit all the beds, dressers, etc. Neither kid wants to move downstairs, and really we don't want them down there either right now. Anyway, after a lot of measuring, rearranging, and realizing that the crib converts to a toddler bed, we fit it all in! Ian was thrilled with his new big boy bed and Kirstie got a new big-big-girl bed (twin-sized bed!) We were a little worried about him falling out since there is no guard rail so we put pillows on the floor each night. He fell out of bed the second night, but it didn't phase him it all. He just kept sleeping on the pillows on the floor.
Wow! Look at the tricks he can do!
The next morning he was so excited to get up and make his bed all by himself! He did a great job too! Too bad that excitement didn't last too long!

They love having their beds touching and being able to climb from one bed to the next.
Kirstie is thrilled with all the room she has on her bed now. She can fit more dolls, more blankets, do somersaults...
...and wow-- look at how her legs can hang off the bed!!
