Kirstie had her first field trip last week. The kindergarten classes had a Teddy Bear Picnic at a nearby park, appropriately named Bear Park. I got to go as one of the chaperones (thanks Melissa for watching Ian!). Kirstie chose to bring a pink teddy bear that Melissa gave her at a baby shower.
There were lots of parents there, so I just had two girls I was in charge of-- Kirstie and her new best friend Ruthie. Kirstie and Ruthie quickly became friends at school. They love playing princesses at recess each day-- sometimes even unicorn princesses! Kirstie loves that they both have purple glasses!
It was fun to meet other kids in the class and put faces with all the names I hear about each day!
We all walked across the school field over to the park and had a picnic. No one ate much considering it was 9:30 in the morning!
Then the kids got to play for the rest of the time.

How cute! Elise did something like this last year in preschool and loved it. Mrs. Brinton is awesome huh?
