Fireman Ian

Last week was Meet a Fireman day at the library.  Ian was all set to go in his fireman coat and hat, but at last minute chickened out and just wore his fireman shirt instead.  We listened to a little (lame) presentation about fire safety then went out to see the fire truck.
There were a lot of kids there, but luckily the group thinned out quickly and Ian got to see lots of things close up.

I love that he always turns and waves at me.  Whether he's just playing, during a tball game, or here with the firemen.

He got to hold their hose.  It was the smallest hose, but it was heavy!

He also got to put on their oxygen tank.  It was as big as him!  It was a lot of fun-- just up Ian's alley!  I think I'm going to try and arrange a visit to a fire station this summer for the kids and some friends.
