Storytime

Our kids are creatures of habit-- especially when it comes to bed time.  We have a set routine and we follow it exactly.  However, the kids seem to keep adding things to it.  Lately, the kids have requested that I make up a bedtime story for them.  It has evolved so that each night I tell them a story about Princess Kirstie and Prince Ian and what they did during that day.  It's kind of a nice way to recap what our day was like and what things stood out to them.

After I tell my story, Kirstie and Ian each get a turn to tell one.  Kirstie's stories vary, but are also about Princess Kirstie, Prince Ian, Queen Wendy and King Brent.

Ian's stories are a little more predictable:  "Once upon a time there was Prince Ian, Princess Kirstie, Queen Mom, and King Brent.  The End."  It makes me smile every night!
